ZVA: THE STORY
lt doesn't happen every day that two ambitious and talented young architects meet in New York and proceed to open their own practice in Mexico City a year later. But the senior and founding partners of ZVA Group, Sergio Zepeda and Monique Veraart, actually did meet in New York in 1992 and start an architecture office in Mexico City in 1993. ZVA (Zepeda-Veraart architects) was not destined to be an ordinary design firm. From the very beginning, it committed itself to building an internationally oriented architecture and interior design practice producing work of the highest quality. By winning a global design competition for a major real estate development project in Mexico, the fledgling firm made a strong start.
COLLABORATIONS
ZVA Group has has de oportunity to collaborate with International firms such as SOM (Skidmore Owen & Merril, PSP Architekten, Gensler, Perkins + Will, SLAM Collaborative, in the adaptation of Construction Documents, in the roll of Architects of Record; such adaptations consisted in the tropicalization of different countries' especifications to the Mexican codes and normatives
